Donations
Use the Donations editor to create donations to which guests can add contributions. Configure the system to prompt the guest to add a donation contribution to their order at the POS.

Create Donation

To create a donation to which guests can make a contribution:
From the Donation List homepage, select Create Donation.
From the General section, define general settings about the donation.
From the Donation Amounts section, configure default donation amounts to recommend to guests.
General
From the General section, define the following:

Donation Name | Name of donation |
External ID | External identifier for the donation record External identifiers are product references used by external third-party services. |
Donation ID | Unique ID for the donation |
Allow for Donation | Include this donation in donation calculations |
Allow for Fundraiser | Include this donation in fundraising events |
Active | Toggle Active if the donation is available for use. |
Available On Prompt | Toggle On to include this donation on the POS prompt. To configure a terminal scheme to prompt for donations, see Donations. |
Donation Amounts
Note
This section is not available if Allow for Fundraiser is enabled.
From the Donation Amounts section, configure up to four (4) default donation amounts. A "Custom Amount" option is also provided enabling the guest to specify the donation amount.
To configure default donation amounts:
From the Donations Amounts section, select Add.
The Add button is not available if four (4) donation amounts are already configured.
From the Type section, select the donation type:

Dollar Amount
Dollar amount of donation
Round Up to Nearest Dollar
Provide guest with option to round up their order total to the nearest dollar
In the Amount field, type the dollar amount (if applicable).
From the lower-right of the Add Donation Amount window, select Save.
From the Donations Amounts section, select and drag the control to the left of each donation to sort them in the preferred sequence.
