Vehicle Lane

This lane type is useful in environments where users create and check in orders for which the service point is unknown.

This lane enables users to select a vehicle for an order.

Vehicle cards in this lane display:

  • Vehicle type/color (provided by Genius Vision)

  • Vehicle icon or image (provided by Genius Vision)

  • Vehicle timer (Timer is highlighted when time elapses)

To create a vehicle lane:

  1. From the Open Order Lanes homepage, select New Lane.

  2. From the Lane Type dropdown, select Vehicle Lane.

  3. From the Create Lane window, select Continue.

  4. From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.

From the General page of Order Lanes, define general settings about the order lane, including its name and description:

Lane Type

Identify the lane type: Order Lane or Vehicle Lane.

Show Camera Image

Toggle Yes to display the vehicle/customer image for orders in order lane.

Create Orders From Lane

From the Create Orders From Lane section of the General page, define the following:

Allow Order Creation

Toggle Yes to include the New Order shortcut in this lane.

  • From the Default Destination dropdown, select the default order destination to assign to a new order that is created with the shortcut.

    If an order destination is NOT selected, the default destination defined for the terminal scheme is used.

Allow Order Check-In

Toggle Yes to allow user to check-in orders from this lane.

Check-In Destinations

Identify eligible Order Destinations for order check-in:

Select a lane for injected orders upon check-in.

From the Lane Filters page of the Order Lanes editor, define the type of content to display in the lane:

  1. From the Filter section, select Add Filter.

  2. From the Filter Key dropdown, select the type of content to filter: Vision Lane or Vision Zone.

  3. From the Condition dropdown, select a condition for the filter key.

  4. From the Values list, select the filter key value.

  5. Select Add.
